SNL Spoofs General Petraeus Testifying Before the Senate

Yes, I watch C-Span and C-Span 2. On Friday nights, Saturday afternoons or whatever time I feel like watching it so go ahead and get your little giggling out of the way so I can move on to my story!

Anywho, I may be the only person in the world who finds the Code Pink protesters at the House and Senate committee meetings absolutely hilarious. I'm not debating the validity of their protests. They are very passionate about their mission, but it's just hard not to laugh when they're in action in these live televised committee meetings. They sit in the room dressed in pink, holding up "bloody" hands or the two-finger peace sign, or poster board signs that look like the kids at my church made them during Sunday school, and wearing statue of liberty crowns. The public is free to attend these meetings, so the pink protesters can remain as long as they do so in silence and don't stand up.

Okay, since none of you has watched C-Span long enough to notice stuff like that, check out the clip below. Then, check out the Saturday Night Live segment spoofing the largely publicized Gen Petraeus testimony concerning progress in Iraq (including questioning by the 3 Presidential candidates). In the middle of the testimony, the Code Pink protesters get 6 seconds to be disruptive.
